Our Little "Reesie cup" & "Cracker Jack": Reese is 1 week old

Today was my official due date and Reese is 1 week old. It was our first big outing since her birth and we had a very busy day planned.

We had newborn pictures scheduled with Stephanie Fisher at 9am. We were about 25 minutes late due to it being my first time leaving the house with an additional person. I had to make sure Reese ate well got really full so she would be sleeping when we got there. Mom and I got to relax and look at Stephanie's amazing photography while she and her assistant, Mandy worked with Reese.

Reese was such an angel for the entire session. They said that she was definitely one of the top 5 best behaved babies! I was such a proud momma!

Reese wasn't a big fan of the car seat and had her first crying fit on our way home. I wanted to stop and get her out but figured it was pointless just to pull over somewhere random because she would have to get right back in. We decided we could make it to The Dairy Queen and get her out while we grabbed some ice cream. As soon as I got her out of the car seat she was fine. She slept the entire time we sat inside and ate.

So, YES... The Dairy Queen was Reese's first place to go out to eat!

Mom, Reese, and I went by the dental office to visit my girls and Dr. G. This was Dr. Guillen's first time to meet Reese and all the girls were fighting to hold her first. We had a good visit until she had to be put back in the car seat to leave.

Reese had her very first Wellness Visit at her Pediatrician's office today also. We brought a blanket with us to wrap her in since I was told that she is undressed for a while during these appointments. She was such an angel and slept during the entire exam. Thank goodness she didn't have to get any shots today.

The Dr. was extremely pleased with Reese's weight gain. She left the hospital Friday weighing 5 lbs & 8 oz and was back up to her birth weight today. It usually takes approximately 10 days for a baby to regain it's birth weight. There were no other health issues or concerns and Reese looked perfect! It was such a relief to know that I am giving Reese what she needs from my breast milk.

We had such a good first day out!!
